Children, Families and Youth.
Jesus said to his disciples “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
Mark 10.14-16

Sunday Club
Each Sunday we run a number of different clubs for our children at Strathmore Road. On a typical Sunday our children will join us for the first part of the service, and then will leave to join their groups.
We have ‘Bubbles’ for toddlers to 5 and ‘xstream’ for 6-18. Once a month we have ‘Forest Church’ where we meet outside around a campfire with marshmallows and hot chocolate and use our beautiful Church garden to connect to God. Babies are welcome in our service, and we have a sensory area for them to enjoy in the worship area.
Sparks is a group for children aged 5-10 held monthly during term time. We meet from 2:00pm-3:30pm on a Saturday where we learn more about God, Jesus and The Bible together. There is also plenty of time for games, crafts, and snacks.
Rock Solid is a lively, active group for anyone aged 9-12. It takes place every other Sunday night in the church hall from 6 to 7.30 p.m. It starts with lots of games and fun in the hall to burn off some energy then we go to our youth room for snacks and drinks before getting our teeth into our big issue of the night. ‘Would God play video games? What does heaven look like? How can we make a difference in our world’ - just some of the issues discussed recently. We have regular socials, film nights and trips when we can.
ID is for boys aged 12-18. It meets every other Sunday night from 7 to 9 p.m. We sometimes meet at the Church and we sometimes meet in our outdoor location where we have a
bonfire, football and a tree swing! Like Rock Solid, there are games, good snacks and big issues.
Wonder is a group for all the girls Year 8 and above to come spend time together. We meet every fortnight, 6-7:30pm in church. This group is the chance to come relax, play games and chat through important topics.
Fuse
Fuse is a fortnightly group, House Group style for Year 8+ and passionate about Jesus.
Games, conversation, bible study, worship and prayer.
Highfield Football is a community engagement project that uses football to reach out to young people and their parents on Pipebridge Estate football pitch. It is for ages 5-18 with different age groups starting from 4.30 p.m. until 6.30 p.m. It meets from around Easter until October when the clocks go back.
